Photo 1 of 3 -1919 Photo of Kenai (date was questioned by person who gifted the photos) - photographer is unknown but this is one of three photos that appear to have been taken at probably the same time, from the same location (also not known), and the same person. In this photo you can see (from left to right) what is probably the Russian school, the Parish house and the Russian Orthodox Church,
Photo 2 of 3 - Kenai Alaska - view is of the bluff where you are seeing the mouth of the river spread out. Notice the large 2-story white building next to the divot in the bluff. No idea what this building was, but very unusual for Kenai in the early 1900s. The building to the left is probably a general store with a false front as was the custom where building supplies were limited.
Photo 3 of 3 - This picture of the bluff is upriver from photo 2 (notice the white warehouse building is now to the right). This photo shows a number of structures that comprised the village of Kenai.
